Dragon Bench
$7,897.00
The Dragon Bench is built on a single premise: that a surface can be the consequence of a form in motion, rather than a plane laid on top of structure.
The body sculptural form moves in a continuous arc, rising, arching, descending, rising again, and at each crest the motion pauses long enough to become a place to sit. Nothing is joined in the visual sense. The leg does not meet the seat; it becomes it.
Executed in solid [species], hand-shaped and finished with hardwax oil, which leaves the grain open to the touch. The undulation reads differently from every approach: spine from one side, arch from another, and from the front, a creature mid-stride.
